Live Awards Ceremony Video Streaming Event for BroadbandVideo.com / Warehouse38.tv

BroadbandVideo, Inc. dba Warehouse38.tv produced another large, live streaming webcast over the weekend worthy of note – this event was attended by over 2800 people (mostly schoolchildren) as part of a non-profit, educational contest. The location was challenging as was the operation of the system: a fully-switched two camera set-up running on the newly released LiveStream Studio. The basic setup was two HDMI cameras coming into the system via Blackmagic Internsity Pro cards, internal Livestream Studio switcher and external room condenser microphones. A single operator controlled the stream, switch & cameras to lower costs.

The event (which was close to three hours of continual streaming) went off without a hitch using Livestream.com as the streaming destination: over 500 concurrent users watched the free stream, many joined in the live chat service available via Livestream and thousands watched the archive in the following days. The event produced over 9 hours of usable footage – both camera feeds and the output mix were recorded as well as the Livestream.com archive.
